We’re going home!

This weekend is our first proper weekend back at Cranage Hall, and i have this huge knot! In my stomach, we’ve managed a weekend and a crochet day since we left Cranage hall on 21st March 2020, and we’ve not been back since.

I don’t know why I’m so bloody nervous! This weekend was supposed to be our April 2020 weekend, I’ve literally lost count the number of times it was rearranged, and the guests attending this weekend have all waited such a long time, 14 months, they’ve all been fabulous.

The last time we left Cranage, the hotel was empty, just us and a very small wedding on the Saturday, we felt so sorry for the bride.

And it had been such an emotional day for everyone, I think we were all petrified of what was going to happen, and even though we’d been told 3 weeks it kind of felt like the end of the world! Dramatic I know!

lynda, paul and I packed everything up and said our goodbyes to the staff thinking the lockdown would only be for 3 weeks, that’s what Boris said (how wrong we’re we?!) we stood in outside our cars, as we’d made plans for the Monday, I can’t even remember what they were, Lynda and just stood there (we pretend we’re not friends) and I said “so erm Monday? See you then?” Lynda said “best not really, it’s lock down, it’ll be shut” I think that’s when it hit me that I wouldn’t see her for months! We both drove off and I literally cried all the way home, I didn’t realise Lynda did too, we didn’t see each other until 31st July.

So I’ve got this mixture of emotions going on, everything has been planned since last year, albeit we’ve changed a lot of the designs, it’s the first one back, people have waited so long, and I just want it to go well, safely!

We have the run of the old part of Cranage Hall upstairs, we’re normally placed in 1 room and then we have our coffee and refreshments on the landing, but this time we’re going to spread across a couple of rooms, so we can allow for social distancing, we’ve got loads of space!! Loads of space to fill with crochet and 80’s decorations! Which is so exciting and we’ve got some fabulous projects too, and the lovely lynn Rowe as our guest designer on the Saturday, so it’s exciting! But I’m nervous! I’m sure it’ll all be fine.

It’s the postponed April one that always worried us, and it just feels like getting to this one, we’re moving forward and actually getting there! No more sleepless nights! AND we might have some space at home too! The yarn and everything was all ordered and delivered prior to lockdown so space will be good!

Anyway, got that off my chest!

Happy hooking

Fabulous Crochet Sanctuary weekend with Lost in knit 🧶

Hello! So I’m still recovering, yes I know it’s Wednesday, but I got back from the Crochet Sanctuary Sunday night and Monday morning I was straight back out on the road until last night, so I’m a little tired!

We are always so apprehensive prior to a Crochet Sanctuary whether it’s a day or weekend, especially when we have new people! You think it would be the other way around but we don’t sleep much!

So our theme for the weekend was ‘home sweet home’ we thought with people all back from holiday, kids back at school it’s now people start organising their homes, decorating etc and getting ready for the dreaded C! Well I am anyway!

My summer house is finished!! My own little she shed!

Sorry for the huge spam on pics but I am so happy with it! My husband had it built within a few hours, painted, he bought me some tub chairs and a foot stool, he’s put electricity inside, lighting in and out! I love it!

We’ve also been decorating the downstairs loo, hall stairs and landing, our abbys bedroom, new carpets, so it’s been busy!

So back to the Crochet Sanctuary, home sweet home! On the Friday night we provided everyone with Hoooked rugs everyone needs a crocheted rug right?! Mine will eventually go in my she shed as soon as I have weaved my end! The rugs are using T-shirt yarn, which can be a little hard on the hands but they really are worth it, with them being so big, nobody finished them over the weekend, so I’ve no pics!

On the Saturday morning both lynda and I designed some plant pot cosy’s lynda designed bunny rabbit ears and I designed a cover with a leaf, it wasn’t what I had planned for, I wanted something rose gold in colour with a geometric look, but I couldn’t get the soft fun and catona to work together for a geometric design, but I’m pleased with what I came up with

And a good few people finished theirs!

On the Saturday afternoon we had Emily from Lost in knit Emily is also the yarn guru for knitcraft / hobbycraft. We work closely with Emily for our hobbycraft designs but it’s mainly all on email, so this weekend it was really nice to get to know her, and chat with her, she’s very clever, knits Crochet’s and she does the most amazing macrame!!!! So we had a a macrame workshop!

I’ve got to say I am mortified!!! Because I could not and still can’t get the hang of it! I’m not giving up though! Our guests loved it, they enjoyed doing something different and learning something new, I don’t think anyone had any experience of macrame at all! Normally our guest designers run their workshop from 14:00 until 18:00 on the Saturday, but with it being such a big project Emily literally worked the usual workshop time, and the evening and the whole of the next day too! But look at the results!

It was such a good weekend.

We also had Lexie at the event who runs the ‘Crochet for beginners’ group on Facebook, Lexie very kindly gave us a review, on YouTube!!!! Our very first video review, you can watch it here Lexie loves crochet review

Anyway a few more pics!

We haven’t got anymore weekend spaces left at all until 2021, but we do have some day spaces! The Crochet Sanctuary

We’ve already planned out Christmas!!! And we have some fabulous workshops! Exciting!!!!!

Anyway happy hooking!!!

What a fabulous weekend!

We always get a little nervous before a crochet Sanctuary day or weekend, we get so excited and then when the day comes it’s like…..’what if it’s not as good as we thought?’ But it really was!

Our guests received a scheepjes project bag, which included a 10% off at Blacksheep wools, a scheepjes diamanté yarn slice necklace, face masks, bath bombs, pens, stitch markers etc here’s the fabulous Paul helping us to pack them!

We started off our evening on the Friday by giving everyone a kit for the scheepjes first shawl. These don’t actually come in kits so we just put one together in an organza bag with the after party pattern. So I did finish mine weeks ago but I couldn’t show you! I can now do here it is

Yep that’s me! And below is lynda!

We had one super fast lady Tracy who actually finished hers by Sunday morning!

How pleased does she look?!

On the Saturday morning we started off with a design from myself and Lynda, it was the lotus flower cushion using tapestry crochet, the yarn used was knitcraft in the zone which I love!!!! It’s very synthetic, I bet there’s not one natural fibre in there at all, but it’s so soft, and so nice to crochet with, but great for bags and cushions as it crochets up really sturdy but soft at the same time. If you’ve never tried it I would definitely encourage you to give it a go it’s a real pleasure to use.

Now the paid pattern is available on our Etsy shop which again I cannot link for some reason!! There will be a free pattern available on the Hobbycraft blog soon though if you don’t want a pdf version.

After lunch we had a workshop hosted by Zeens & Roger I’ve been watching her podcasts for quite a while, so to actually have her there in person was fab! She provided us all with the 3 strikes bag, which is a c2c project, we had never had a c2c workshop and we had quite a few c2c virgins there so it was fab! Now I have crocheted in c2c but I’ve never known how I should change colour, it turns out there is no special way, it’s a pain in the arse with the ends but…..so worth it!!! I finished my bag!

I love it!!! I improvised a little and just did one button, but it was really relaxing, and thoroughly enjoyed.

On the Saturday night, to tie in with our theme ‘crochet girls night in’ we had movie night!!!!

I actually think we’ll make this a regular thing, we already had a white pull down screen in the room, so it was just a matter of projecting it onto the wall, there was something so nice about us all being in our pj’s crocheting, munching popcorn and singing along to dirty dancing!! I loved it!!

Then our last day….was finishing projects here’s a few more pictures

It was just fab! Now we have a bit of wait to the end of August for our crochet day, then mid September for our next weekend….time flies way too quickly!

Happy hooking

Tie backs and yarny buys!

I was going to save this for next week, but I’m currently working away from home in Harrogate, staying at faulty towers, it’s 00:34 and I’ve just got back to my room after a false fire alarm, I wouldn’t of been surprised if it had been a real one, this place is so badly maintained!

Anyway, I’m wide awake now so thought, ooh blog!

I finished an order I received from my cousins wife, she had asked for a giraffe tie back and a zebra tie back, I did share a pic of the zebra a few blog posts ago, but he’s now finished!

As you can tell, I do not have one single pair of curtains in my house, at all, so blinds had to do!

I’ve also finished the giraffe

Who has super long legs, both of these were designed by Nice and Cosee crochet she has so many tie back patterns! I’m pleased with these though, super cute

Which means!!! I’ve started my medium sized Ubuntu by scheepjes! I’ve really gotten stuck in and I’ve just this minute finished all of the diamonds to part 3, although not many pics

I’m really enjoying it, I’ve just to finish the main. Colour part on each diamond before I can move into the half diamonds.

I’m also working on some Christmas designs for Knitcraft with @lyndascraftroom it doesn’t half feel weird crocheting Christmas in June! But we’ve been given a brand new yarn to use and it’s lovely, with plenty of colours too! But more of that when I’m allowed.

And then there’s our designs for The crochet Sanctuary but I can’t show you those either! Not until next week anyway, I’m mega excited for the crochet Sanctuary this weekend. We’ve got our guest designer Zeens and Roger who’s work and podcasts I’ve admired for a while, so it will be nice to actually meet Rosina in person, and of course work on one of her designs. I’m so looking forward to meeting up with our regular hookers ha!! And some new people too! We’ve a couple of surprises for them this weekend too!

And I didn’t think I’d be saying this but…….2020 has almost sold out!!! We’ve literally got 5 weekend spaces left for April, 5! That April we have Lynne Rowe from the wool nest (on Instagram) hosting our guest workshop, Lynne did a workshop for us last year, and we enjoyed it so much we’ve booked her again for next year. We’ve lots of crochet days available though, which is good, as although it’s nice being sold out it’s nice to have spaces to fill!

Ooooh I’ve been shopping! I really should just stop! However I am currently waiting on a delivery for this! I’ve pinched this pic from Etsy it’s not mine!

So lynda bought this, when you pull the cow down it plays a tune!!! From the X files!!!! It’s amazing! And it’s bigger than I thought too. So I’m currently waiting delivery!

I’ve also bought……and I’ve pinched this pic from Woolly Mama Yarns I can never add a link for this on Etsy, so I apologise, she has a yarn club called back to the 80’s, I could not resist this!

It’s so watermelon! And it’s actually called ‘I carried a watermelon’!! I’m so excited, lord knows what I’m going to do with it, I’m hoping it’ll be there when I get home tomorrow as it’s been dispatched.

I’ve also pre-ordered some books!

This is by the authors of dragons and unicorns and I loved it so much I couldn’t resist!

And!

Who doesn’t love Mabel bunny and co? Wool Couture are releasing a book!

Again this is pre-order, and should be September, literally so excited!

I suppose I’d best get some sleep need to be up in just 5 hours!

Happy Hooking!!

More finished projects!

Hellloooooo!!!! From Leeds, not Warrington, Leeds. I’ve been exhibiting at a conference today, and tomorrow, I don’t normally like staying away, but it’s a good opportunity to get some hooky time in whilst stuck in a hotel room on my own! Crochet and Netflix love it! I got through so many episodes of suits last night, more tonight!

So I actually finished some more projects this week, I don’t really take crochet orders, unless they’re for friends and family, but even that stresses me out slightly as I have a deadline hanging over my head, and I also hate charging, I always feel that if I don’t charge then people can’t come back if there’s anything wrong.

So a little while a go a lovely lady at work asked me to make a blanket for her new grandson, I was excited as I had bought so many patterns for small blankets and was itching to make them. She also asked me to make another blanket for another girl at work who is due to have a little girl soon, so off I went to Blacksheep wools to buy some stylecraft bambino, have you tried it? It’s beautiful, and gives the most lovely stitch definition

I bought 2 colourways one for boys and one for girls (neither gender neutral sorry) and I started a very simple rowed treble for the boys blanket, but got so bored! And the colours weren’t doing it for me, so I scrapped that idea and decided to just use the sage colour and a simple filet crochet I chose Estelle blanket by owl b hooked and I absolutely love it! I’ve always steered clear of filet, purely because I’m so crap at counting ha!!

I think it turned out beautifully!

I also crocheted a lovely simple blanket in a dark grey, with silver star appliqués, I pinched the colourway and pattern from Kate from just pootling she always chooses the most beautiful colours

It’s quite small but the perfect size for a car seat for sure. 23 stars though?! Thank you for @lyndascraftroom who kindly sewed them on for me, I hate sewing!

And finally, the busy bees blanket, I only started it last week, in the vintage pink with a beautiful cream border, I almost didn’t want to give it away!

Is it it lovely!!!!

I only really have one more item to finish, before I can crack on with things that I really want to do, in between designing for The crochet Sanctuary

On March 7th my cousin sadly passed away. She left behind 2 beautiful little girls, I felt overwhelmed with sadness and guilt as I had not made the effort to contact until 3 days before she died. Keith flint from the prodigy had passed away and, fire starter always reminded me of Karen, so I messaged her, but I didn’t hear back and by 7th she wasn’t there anymore. Anyway!!! Enough doom! I decided to make her girls a little something, even if it just put a smile on their faces for 30 seconds it would be worth it, but then I thought, well I should really make my other cousins children something too, I ended up making a few items!

Milo Monkey was for my cousin Alison’s little boy designed by Kornflake stew

Then I ended up making the Fox for wee Don, who is Karen’s nephew, same designer

I made Karen’s eldest daughter a puff stitch beanie as she is 12 and I didn’t think she would quite appreciate a toy!

And for Karen’s youngest I made pegasuaurus? I might be wrong there, and I can’t remember the designer, but it was out of Unicorns and dragons crochet book this book is amazing by the way!

So! I finished them a discreetly handed them out after the wake, my cousins wife then contacted me and asked me to make some ami tie backs for curtains, she wanted a zebra and a giraffe, so the zebra is done and has the most amazing mo!!

But I’ve yet to finish the giraffe, I’m about 1/4 way through they’re both designed by Nice and cosee crochet check out her Ravelry page!

Then!!!!!!!! I can finally start…….Ubuntu medium!!! So remember I finished my small Ubuntu? Well I enjoyed it so much I was a bit gutted I didn’t get the medium kit, but it was so expensive at the time and I didn’t know if I would finish it. Well both @lyndascraftroom and I have bought the medium kit eeeek! The small one I did sits in the Sanctuary, but the medium I’m going to crochet for our sofa at home

I am so excited!!!

So tonight I am sat in my hotel room, testing a pattern for our Friday night project for the next crochet Sanctuary, who am I kidding?! I just couldn’t wait to start it ha!!!! But can’t show you yet! What I can say is, it’s gorgeous!

Anyway, I’m off to order room service then get my hoook on!!!

Happy Hooking!!!

Birthday weekend🦄🦄🦄

Well it’s been a whole year, a year today actually! That @lyndascraftroom and I held our very first Crochet Sanctuary it’s been an absolute blast! We’ve met so many amazing people. So our theme for the weekend was birthdays, cupcakes, unicorns, unicorn colours, piñatas, pass the parcel, and cake, way too much cake!

We started off our evening with everyone arriving including our guest designer Lottie & Albert, who’s podcast I watch regularly, it’s so odd meeting someone that you watch when they’ve never met you before!

Our room looked beautiful!! So we had 18 weekenders and 8 crochet day guests for the Saturday, so 26 of us in total. We started the evening off by giving all of our guests miffy slipper kits from Stitch and Story the yarn in the kits are absolutely beautiful, including a lovely bamboo hook and some lovely little cotton labels, they would of been perfect had the pattern included had been a little easier to read, it was a little oddly written and took a lot of concentration, which I struggled with, however we do have one person that finished them!

They’re so cute, but I think I personally need a quiet room to concentrate for these ones. Photo credit Sharon Meakin! Well done Sharon!

We also had Amanda from Little Box of Crochet so very kindly donate one of her Learn to crochet boxes ohhhhh my!!!!! I wish these were around when I was learning, they’re stunning, and she donated one for us to use as a pass the parcel and the lovely Alison Bailey won!

Just look what’s included!

Anyway, we had a lovely evening, albeit late, as once everyone had gone we then set up for our unicorn party the next morning

Oh the fun!! Although not so much fun when the balloons tangle!!!

A good friend would of helped……😂

For our workshop in the morning Lynda and I had designed some cupcake pin cushions, one with a great big cream swirl and unicorn, we also had unicorn marshmallows on sticks

Don’t laugh at my sleepy eyes!!!!

But if people didn’t fancy using them as pincushions they had some head bands too, to make a head band

After lunch we moved onto Lindsey from Lottie and Albert Lindsey had provided us all with her rainbow blanket pattern and heart belly basket, the project is created by working 6 strands of dk yarn at the same time, using a 20mm hook, winding the yarn into large balls was a laugh!

It works up so quickly! And it’s so soft, so even if you wanted to use a cheaper yarn because it’s in a larger hook and it’s so airy even a cheaper yarn is so soft!

We used scheepjes colour crafter in pastels

Throughout the day we had pass the parcel games and our guests won things like toft kits, sweets and Amanda Blooms ‘the story so far’ book 😍😍

Sunday is always a chill out day, where we finish projects from the weekend, even though we themed the weekend as our first birthday it was more to give us ideas to base the weekend on, but people actually brought us gifts 🙈🙈 we’ve had chocolates, candles and cards! Oh no!!! That really wasn’t the intention, but check out this amazing gift!!!

Mini skeins of hand dyed yarn in a mug!!!! Like 😱😱😱 how amazing!!!

Anyway, we really couldn’t of had our 1st birthday if people didn’t actually book with us, so we bought our guests a gift to say a massive thank you to them

And we were lucky enough to have the author of the book there to sign it too!

It’s been an absolute laugh, and what more can you want than a comfy room filled with lovely people, yarn and cake?!

Here’s a few more pics

I think that’s all for now, until next time happy hooking!!!

Not so weekly update

It’s been busy! We’re now on week 3 of the Knitcraft falling leaves crochet along, and it’s going really well!

We’ve been busy finalising and re-testing designs for the Christmas Crochet Sanctuary which is mega exciting! We literally cannot wait to see people’s faces, so exciting!! We’ve gone a little all out for Christmas, but you’ve got to really, we’ve also been finalising designs for our 1 day special on 1st December AND! On 2nd December too! Because can you believe this?! Amanda bloom from Little Box of Crochet asked @lyndascraftroom and I to host a workshop for her grand sale!

I mean, remember when I attended a retreat and she was there and I got all giddy and star struck?!?! Now!! We’re hosting workshops for her?! Unbelievable really ha! Anyway there are a couple of places left, it’s £5 to get in and the proceeds got to brain tumour charity, it’s £15 to get in if you want to do either the morning or afternoon workshop, and we’ve got a cracking project for each one planned! Blacksheep wools have kindly donated oke gift bags for us for the day and some mini catonas to pop in the bags, which was so kind of them, they’re so local to lynda and I so it’s nice that local businesses support each other.

Anyway I love it once we’ve finished designing a CAL because I can get back to crocheting what I fancy, I’ve finally managed to catch up with ubunto! I’ve been a little bit hooked, but I am going to have to frog back a few rows as my stitch count isn’t quite right so nee to figure out where I’ve gone wrong. I went for the ubunto small and I’ve regretted it since, I do love it but I do wish I’d gone for the medium or large

It was due to cost originally as there was a big jump in price from small to medium, but I think I might do medium now too and small can go on the sofas at the sanctuary.

As our Christmas Sanctuary is only next week I’ve started a sweater!! A Christmas sweater, it’s deigned by Eleven handmade and it’s the Golden Rod sweater

It’s an odd hook and yarn weight (to me) its a sock weight yarn requires and a 4.5mm hook, so I’m on the chunky side and to be safe I want to make sure it’s going to fit me! So I’ve gone for a dk weight on the recommended hook size, and it’s coming up lovely! I do love a puff stitch anyway, the sleeves are added on lastly but! You could leave them as is and crochet in a cotton and have it a a summer top, it such a versatile pattern. I’ve decided to make one for my mum, so I’ve bought some baby drops alpaca silk yarn in wheat, although I didn’t realise the wheat would have a yellowish tinge to it, I’m gonna go with it as I’m sure my mum will love it.

Also it was my birthday yesterday and it just so happened to fall on a Knitcraft social day! I was thoroughly spoilt rotten embarrassingly, but wow! I’ve never hand so many birthday cards, even when I was little, and handmade ones at that, so many gifts of candles, gin, yarn, flowers, chocolate a beautiful poppy bracelet and Lynda knows me so well ha!!! A mini schnauzer calendar and! Twinkie chan book!!!! I never bought it, I’ve been eyeing it up for 2 years! And she got it for me! Crochet abode ala mode! Love it!!!!!

It was a cracking day and so nice to spend it with my hooker friends, anyways, it’s Sunday, it’s cold outside, I’m off to carry on with my golden rod sweater!

Happy hooking!

Crochet Now Magazine

@lyndascraftroom and I are just a tad excited this morning, we’re like kids on Christmas morning, firstly because it’s The Crochet Sanctuary tomorrow, thirdly we’ve released new dates for next year, and already sold out of day passes for November 2019! Like wow!

We must be doing something right! We haven’t even publicised it, we only sent a mail shot out to guests that have attended before, to give them first dibs, and we’ve got bookings for each and every month!

And lastly…..because……we are in this months Crochet Now Magazine! Jeez!!!!! Us! Our water garden cal, is actually good enough to be mentioned in a magazine!

Never ever did we think anything of ours would go into a magazine, like ever.

But there you go it’s there, and I’m off for another squeal, and to start packing for tomorrow evening!!

Happy hooking lisa xx

A wee update

Our deadline for the spring CAL looms at the end of this week, so as per usual @lyndascraftoom and I have been hooking none stop!! It’s so worth it though because it looks stunning, and we’re rather proud! But I can’t show you! Not yet anyway.

It’s amazing when we look back at Tea on the green, and then to this CAL just how far we’ve come, even if I do say so myself, we were ahead of schedule and then for slightly off track, only slightly, the CAL has now gone to Lynda for her unusual fabulous finish and then back to me for the border, but it means I can catch up and sort out designs for the next Crochet Sanctuary which is on 20th April until 22nd, so literally 8 weeks away. We’ve had so many messages about other dates, we were trying to wait until we’d sold out on the next date before releasing the rest but we’ve given up and released all dates now, so we have April, June, September and November.

So first on my list was to catch up on Coastal crochet seaside stash buster CAL I’m really enjoying this, there is absolutely no pressure at all. And I have to admit blues and greens aren’t really my favourite colours so I seem to have a large amount of it in my stash which means I really can make mine look rather coastal, I’m really pleased with it

Just 4 rows a week, and the patterns are nice and easy to follow, I’m enjoying the process and I know it’s going to be a long CAL but I’m also rather excited to see the finished result too.

I’ve also been teaching my 14 year old daughter to crochet! We spend a lot of time together and she comes to our Knitcraft social most weeks, and I kind of felt guilty that she couldn’t come on the last Sanctuary but she couldn’t crochet and of course it’s a lot of money to pay for her to be bored all weekend, so she has been nagging me if she can come to April, the deal was that if she can crochet she can come, so this happened!

She crocheted her first granny square! Ok so she’s not quite for the bug and I don’t want to force it on her but I couldn’t help but take her to Blacksheep wools on Sunday, she bought herself a yarn cake and a tulip hook

The chunky blossom is mine though!! And guess what? She completely unravelled her cake and decided she couldn’t do it 🙄🙄 do I’ll leave her for a bit and then give her a gentle reminder!

So! While I’m here! We’ve sold out of all day passes for April, but we have got some rooms left for weekend bookings. It is going to be fab, each weekender will receive a fabulous Sophie’s stool!!!

We will work through a number of workshops, using some stunning yarns, three bears yarn, scheepjes and hopefully some hoooked or some Knitcraft Home cotton, all with a spring feel! Our workshops will also be including the very fabulous Amanda Bloom from Little box of crochet

Amanda has a fab workshop planned and no doubt with some amazing yarn!!

So if you do want to book click Here it is just a £50 deposit

Taking of little box of crochet, I was very naughty and bought myself the Not so little box of crochet…..oh wow, just wow!

Well!!! I couldn’t not could I?! So I’ll soon be getting started!!! Once the CAL has been sent and I can concentrate anyway!

Best got to bed now really

Happy hooking xx

Hello 2018!

I do wonder how long we should carry on ‘happy new year’ for, only 5 days in and I feel like I’ve said it tonnes of times!!

Christmas started in August for us when we started designing the Christmas CAL, and it now feels like spring, seen as @lyndaacraftroom and I are now in the throws of designing the next one, thoroughly enjoying it I might just add!!

So! I’ve started my Janie Crow Fridas Flowers blanket!!!! Yayyyyy!!! Like on Christmas Eve, as soon as I’d finished my last gift, I have to say it’s the most stunning design and colour way ever!! I’m only on block 3 but it’s so gorgeous

Block 1

Block 2 – my favourite

Block 3 – what’s there not to love?!

Just beautiful

Although it’s going to be one of those blankets I probably won’t let anybody touch! So worth waiting for.

I’ve also had a start on Sophie’s stool, it’s so nice!! I’m tempted to just carry on and do the blanket but I really do want this for the stool.

For those like me that have looked at the stool kit for a while and not bought it, let me tell you it’s such good value for money!! I didn’t realise (I don’t think it’s been very well advertised) you actually get the stool in the kit! Plus 9 x 50g of scheepjes catona, the quality of the stool is just fab!

Anyway! I’ve also been working on some designs for the spring cal for knitcraft but obviously I can’t show you those….yet!

We also have literally 1 month and 10 days to go before The Crochet Sanctuary eeeeeekkkk!!! I’m so excited, and excited that some of you lovelies will be joining us! People we talk to on Instagram and some of our CAL members! We literally have sold out on all day passes, we only have 2 weekend passes available, to be honest it’s a bit of crap time of year, asking people to fork out £450 for a weekend of pure self indulgence, SO! As Lynda and I have already paid for everything in advance we obviously need to sell these last two rooms, so we’ve decided to raffle off 1 room, which is Fab really, for the sake of a £5 (virtual) raffle ticket you could win a weekend away of none stop Crochet, beautiful food in gorgeous surroundings with the loveliest people, and let me tell you we’ve sold so few the odds of actually winning is pretty bloody high! So if you fancy buying one, they’re £5, just send a payment through via PayPal to hello@thecrochetsanctuary.co.uk we get notifications straight away, so we’ll send a receipt through for your records. Ooh the weekend is from Friday 16th until Sunday 18th, it’s worth a fiver believe me!!!

We are really very pleased that we’ve sold the original number, then increased the number of weekends by another 5, at this time of year we think we’ve done a super job, so next week we’ll be releasing the dates for April Crochet Sanctuary!

Anyway happy hooking!!!!

Xx
